The Mexican Hydroponics Association, A.C., with the teachings and orientation of renowned world scientists, and thanks to the relationship with the American Hydroponics Society, supports the promotion and projection of hydroponics as a means of development for food supply assurance.

Due to its potential, hydroponics is a powerful tool to create jobs and income for the low-income population. It also allows the formation of small and medium size hydroponics based enterprises in rural, urban, or sub-urban zones.

Simultaneously with the course and congress, an exhibition has been programmed with the participation of different national and foreign enterprises related to this growing industry. This exhibition gives producers, entrepreneurs, and consumers, the opportunity to contact suppliers of equipment, seeds, fertilizing materials, and special nutrients, as well as with editors of hydroponics related publications.

Another objective is to disseminate the achievements and perspectives in countries where hydroponics is a commercial activity. It also focuses realistically in the applications and possibilities to use agriculture unsuitable arid or rocky land, or land limited by the availability of water or extreme temperatures.

The course and congress allows establishing contacts and a valuable exchange of knowledge between presenters, producers, and consumers of hydroponics related products.
